Vanessa Vega
Former Edutopia Senior Manager of Research
At Edutopia, I worked on bridging research and practice throughout the site, and making research useful for practitioners. I investigate innovative and scalable practices in teaching and learning through our award-winning Schools That Work video series, Core Strategy Research Reviews, blogs, and infographics. Prior to Edutopia, I was a lecturer in Media Studies at UC Berkeley, and a researcher with the Center for Learning in Informal and Formal Environments at Stanford, where I studied impacts of media-multitasking on youth learning, advertising to children, and physiological underpinnings of social learning from video media. I'm passionate about increasing educational opportunities, and leveraging digital media to support knowledge-sharing and collaboration among K12 educators, administrators, researchers, and community stakeholders.
