New Mexico School for the Arts

Charter, Suburban
Grades 9-12
Santa Fe, NM

New Mexico School for the Arts — a Title I, dual arts and academic charter school in Santa Fe — is both an arts school for scholars and a prep school for artists. Through daily support seminars, NMSA bridges the achievement gap by teaching academic, social-emotional, and college-readiness skills. Through the school’s arts curriculum, students master self-assessment by learning to embrace failure, welcome critical feedback, and give peer critique.

  • Earned 2016 National Blue Ribbon Schools Award as an Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing School.
  • Rated grade “A” by New Mexico Public Education Department every year since 2012.
  • Outperformed the state in reading, math, and science on New Mexico Standards Based Assessment (SBA) every year since 2013.
