Nora Fleming

Nora Fleming has 15 years of experience in the media, writing, and communications fields. As a senior editor at Edutopia, Nora creates and oversees stories and multimedia content, writes and edits articles, and manages a bank of national writers. Before arriving at Edutopia, Nora was the editorial director at a communications firm focused on social change, where she worked across the agency managing content and editorial projects for leading foundations, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations across four offices. Previously, she served as a reporter at Education Week, the leading national news publication on K-12 education policy, and as an editorial manager on a winning California State Senate campaign. She has also held positions as a reporter in Los Angeles and a communications and marketing associate for small business. After her undergraduate studies, Nora served in AmeriCorps as a college counselor at a low-income middle school in East L.A.
Nora holds a master's degree from George Washington University in Media and Public Affairs. She earned her bachelor's degree with double major in Journalism and American Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, where she worked for a local publication and as the photography editor of her college newspaper.
