Marissa Shapiro

Marissa is a high school social studies teacher in the New York City Department of Education. She has taught AP World History, global history, U.S. History, and research skills courses. Prior to becoming a New York City public school teacher, Marissa taught in Ostrava, Czechia, on a Fulbright fellowship. Marissa is passionate about providing students with a rigorous, engaging, and relevant history education that focuses on deep thinking, reading, and research.
