Marilyn Price-Mitchell

Dr. Marilyn Price-Mitchell is a fellow at the Institute for Social Innovation at Fielding Graduate University and author of Tomorrow’s Change Makers: Reclaiming the Power of Citizenship for a New Generation. Her research focuses on youth development, education, youth civic engagement, and parent-school-community partnerships. Creator of The Compass Advantage, a framework for understanding and applying positive youth development, Dr. Price-Mitchell writes at the intersection of education and child development at Psychology Today and Roots of Action and regularly speaks to audiences of parents and educators. She cofounded the National ParentNet Association (now the WA State Family & Community Engagement Trust) in 2001, a nonprofit devoted to building family, school, and community partnerships that support youth.
