Katie Brooks

Katie Brooks is a dedicated fifth-grade ELA teacher near Austin, Texas, passionate about fostering creativity, literacy, and student empowerment. She spent four years teaching at an international school in Quito, Ecuador, where she immersed herself in the culture and became fluent in Spanish. Holding a master’s degree in teacher leadership, Katie has taken on various leadership roles, including musical co-director, grade-level curriculum lead, student council advisor, and running club coach. She also founded her school’s Diversity/Culture Club and Creative Writing Club, creating spaces for students to express themselves and celebrate inclusivity. As a strong advocate for technology integration, Katie strives to enhance student learning by leveraging digital tools to inspire innovation and engagement.
