Anne Vilen is a writer and school coach for EL Education and the author of Transformational Literacy: Making the Common Core shift with Work that Matters (2014) and Learning that Lasts: Challenging, Engaging, and Empowering Students with Deeper Instruction (2016). Previously, she taught language arts in middle and high school and served as Director of Program and Professional Development in a high-performing charter school.
